Zoo trip!

Wow, it's amazing how quickly time flies! I haven't posted since the end of April!! So much has gone on since I've last posted, where do I begin??

I may have to take a few posts today to show all the fun pictures and stories I want to share!

Since April, we have gone to the Zoo, taken her first airplane trip on her first vacation to South Carolina, learned a few new words and actions, had someone we love pass away, and we moved!!

For now though, we'll start with the Zoo!

 

As most people know, I have Fridays off from work. Usually though, they are monopolized by cakes, cake pops and/or cupcakes. This particular Friday, I decided that we needed a break from all things cakes, and we needed to go to the zoo. It was one of the first beautiful and warm days we've had all spring, and we needed to take advantage of it-and boy did we!

 When we got to the zoo, it was a major field trip day, but we got there early enough that we were able to be one of the few people in the aquarium at the time, so she was able to get out of her stroller and really explore the tunnel. She kept saying "oooh" and "wow".

 We didn't go into the butterfly pavillion, but she did enjoy hanging out on the butterfly chair while we waited to meet up with 2 other momma/daughter groups!

We ended up meeting up with our friends Jessica and Caroline (from my mommy group) and one of her friends and daughter at the petting zoo. She wasn't too sure about the goats though lol. 

 

She was also pretty facinated by the gorillas and was even mimicking them before the day was over. All in all, even though she crashed through the desert dome and the rain forest, it was a pretty great day that needs to be repeated soon!!
