More 4 month updates!

We have been given the "thumbs up" to start baby food! So, first up: squash! At first, she did NOT care for it at all, and just kept pushing it back out at me, the 2nd time, she ate a little but made faces the whole time lol, and the 3rd times-a-charm, she ate almost a whole cubes worth!

 Up next, we are going to try sweet potatoes, then carrots! Then we get to move onto the fun green veggies lol. I'm really hoping that all these veggies will help her with her poo problems. :(

My beautiful baby is almost 5 months old, and boy does she have a personality! I love to watch her face as her brain works, and I love to just watch the fun faces she makes! See below ;)

If you didn't know, this is one of Sophie's favorite places to sleep! Her daddy has the best chest/belly area to relax lol. 

 Big girl at the Memorial Day BBQ we went to. This is just before I looked away, and looked back to find her passed out sitting up lol.

 Like I said, favorite place to sleep lol. This pose always kills me when I can get a good picture. She looks like she's just clinging onto him lol.

And this is her other favorite place to sleep. Right in momma's arm crook :) I'd say this is my favorite place too :)

Other updates:

She's reaching for EVERYTHING in sight. I had a glass of water in my hand the other night and her on my lap and she was just reaching and reaching! She wanted that glass of water! So I gave her a little and she wanted more lol. I didn't give her much more since she's not supposed to have very much yet, but she thought it was wonderful! lol. She's also drooling like crazy and chewing on everything she can get her hands on. I predict we'll see a tooth soon! She hasn't started crawling yet, but I think if she could figure out how to keep her head up and her arms in the right spot, she'd be gone! Her legs go a mile a minute when on her belly! She's also rolled offically from her back to belly and belly to back! It won't be long!

4 month Professional Pics

Yay! We got the rest of our pictures back from Sophie's 4 month picture session! I'm in love with these pictures and so grateful to Rachael K for taking these for us! She does such amazing work and they are always exactly what I want! I'm so glad we were able to get family pictures done as well since we don't have very many of us as a family. I can't wait to blow some of these up for my wall :)

She's getting so big :( She's still a little peanut, but she's definetly packing on some weight now, and I just love it!!! Look at those chubby arms, and if you could see, her legs are just as chubby! She melts my heart :)

4 months!!

Oh my word, where has the time gone?? My baby is already 4 months old :( She is hitting all sorts of milestones already and it just makes me sad!! Excited, but sad. I don't want her to grow up too fast, but yet it's exciting to watch her little mind work and see what new things she can accomplish. Her latest: rolling from belly to back and starting to eat baby food! Her four month check up went something like like this: she weighs 12lbs 5ozs, is 23  1/2" long, her head is in the 59th % range for size (big head lol). She is so alert and focused on people when they are around, watches us intently while we eat and holds her head up on her own like a rock star, so the Dr. gave us the go-ahead on starting baby food.

I picked up a butternut squash that afternoon and finally got around to baking it and pureeing it a few nights ago. LOL, needless to say, it didn't go over very well lol. She would take the spoon into her mouth, but then immediately kick the food back out with her tounge. I don't think we ever did get any down her. But, we'll keep trying :)

We decided to skip 3 month pictures since not much really changes from newborn to 3 months, and instead did 4 month pics. We went through the same photographer that did her newborn pics and I'm so glad we did. She did an amazing job! Below are 2 of her many pics. We also got some family ones done, so I will have to post those later when I get the rest of the pictures back.

 She was totally sitting on her own in this picture!! Even leaning forward. Her newest plaything is her feet! It's sooo cute how she watches them and then tries to grab them. lol.

 She has sooo much hair on top of her head, that I decided one night just for fun, to see if I could get it into a ponytail! I did and it even spouts out a big lol. She didn't even mind it being in her hair!

 She's all ready for summer!! I found her some really cute summer hats to cover her precious head and they are finally starting to fit her! I can't wait to take her on all sorts of outings this summer :)

And lastly, this is why our Pediatrician thinks we will have an early walker. All she wants to do is stand up! So I stood her up one day up against the ottoman, and she stayed that way, barely propped against it for about 2 minutes before her legs gave out!  She's such a big girl!!
